Roots & Wonder Podcast

hosted by Kamaria Gray

Hi, I’m Kamaria Gray. I’ve spent most of my life working with and around children, so storytelling has always kind of been at the center of everything I do. Literacy especially for black children is really important to me, and so is making sure they have access to stories that actually reflect them.

Through Roots and Wonder, I read children’s books by black authors and bring them to life with voice, personality, and emotion. It’s a storytime space designed to slow things down and invite kids into imagination, connection, and everyday storytelling.

My hope is that these stories don’t just get listened to but lived with, shared, and read together at home.

So join me in a place where stories take root and imagination has room to grow.
